Control Scheduled Labour Costs

Understand the planned cost before the week is worked.

Bring pay configuration and paid shift hours together to make scheduled labour estimates easier to review alongside the rota.

1

Keep the input rates current

Set the appropriate pay type and effective dates. A future rate change should not silently replace the basis used to understand historical shifts.

2

Check hours as well as headcount

Two rotas with the same number of staff can have very different paid hours. Review shift duration and whether breaks are paid when comparing schedules.

3

Use estimates for planning, not payroll

Scheduled cost is a planning tool. It does not replace actual attendance, overtime agreements or payroll processing. Currency groups stay separate instead of producing a misleading combined total.
